Usually, people consume it in the form of different dishes but there are many ways in which we can apply it to our skin; and these practices have been in action for years.

Different ways of using curd for skincare-

Curd as a moisturizer-

Way 1- Take some curd and mix some honey in it. Apply the mixture on your face and keep it for around 10-15 minutes. After that wash it off with cold water.

Way 2- Take 3 tablespoons of almond powder and 2 tablespoons of curd, mix them and apply this paste on your face. Wash it off after 10-15 minutes with cold water.

Curd for reducing pigmentation-

Way 1- Take about 10 grams of raw potato pulp and add 2 spoons of curd to it. Apply this paste on your skin for some time. Once this paste gets dried rinse off your skin.

Useful for all skin types.

Way 2- Squeeze around 10 drops of lemon juice in 4 teaspoons of water. Mix this with 2 tablespoons of curd. Apply this mix to your face and let it dry. Wash off with normal water.

Useful for Oily skin types.

Curd for reducing wrinkles and minimizing aging factors-

Way 1- Take 1/4th cup of curd and add mashed banana and 1 teaspoon of curd to it. Evenly apply this paste to your face and neck. After some time rinse it off with water.

Useful for Normal or Dry skin types.

Way 2- Mix 1 teaspoon of coffee powder in 2 tablespoons of curd. Mix it well and apply it on your face and neck. Let it dry and then rinse it off with cold water.

Curd for removing dead skin cells-

Way 1- Mix 2 tablespoons of curd with 1 tablespoon of oats. Make a face pack and apply it on your face, let it dry naturally. Once it gets dried rinse it off with regular water. This mixture works as a natural exfoliator and even helps in removing dead skin cells.

Useful for sensitive skin types.

Way 2- Take 2 tablespoons of curd and add 1 tablespoon of gram flour (besan) to it. Apply this pack to your face and neck. Once it gets dry, wash it with normal water.

Useful for Oily or combination skin types.

Curd for removing Dark circles.

Mix 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder and a few drops of lemon juice with 1 tablespoon of curd. Apply this mix to the dark circle area. After 15-20 minutes rinse it off with water.

Curd as a sunburn Curer-

Take some chilled curd and add some water to it(optional). Apply this on the sunburn area and remove it after 10 minutes using regular water. Use this remedy until the sunburn goes away.

Curd for acne or acne scars-

Way 1- Take about 2 tablespoons of curd and add 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder to it. Apply this paste on the area with acne or acne scars. Once it dries off rinse off with regular water.

Way 2- Take a 2:1 proportion of curd and Multani mitti. Make a paste and apply it to the affected area. After 10-12 minutes rinse it off with water.

Useful for all skin types.

Caution-

Since the above-given methods are purely natural; Thus, these methods may take some time to show effective results. Therefore, try these methods regularly for a month and a half and see the results.
